Terms of Service

Our disclosures, up front:

— Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until you cancel; yearly plans start with a free first month and bill on the date shown at checkout.
— Payments run through Stripe; refunds follow section 5 and nothing in these terms removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
— You must have people's consent before putting their details into ConX.
— We can suspend accounts that abuse the platform (spam, scraping, unlawful content).
— Plain-English summaries in these terms are for readability; the numbered clauses are what bind.

1.Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and ConX ("ConX", "we") covering the ConX apps, website, capture pages and dashboards (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept them. If you're accepting for a company, you confirm you're authorised to bind it.

2.What ConX is

ConX is digital business cards and event networking: individuals carry cards and keep the connections they make; companies and event hosts run capture pages, docks and QR codes that turn scans into leads; and the two sides exchange — each keeping their own record of it.

3.Accounts

Keep your login accurate and secure — what happens under your account is yours. You must be at least 16. One person per login; a company seat is not a shared mailbox.

4.Company accounts, teams and work cards

In short: Admins run the company. What a rep captures for the company stays with the company; what they exchanged personally stays theirs. Leave a company and the work card dies with the membership. This summary is for readability — the full text below it is what applies.

Company admins control the company's page, docks, team and leads, and can invite or remove members. A work card belongs to the employment relationship: exchanges made with it feed the company's lead list. When a member leaves or is removed, their work card is destroyed — the company keeps the leads already captured; the person keeps their personal cards and personal connections.

5.Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Company and host plans include a free first month (30 days) on either billing interval, once per company — you pay A$0 at checkout and billing starts on the date shown; cancel before then and you pay nothing. Promotional pricing applies for the period stated when offered. Fees are otherwise non-refundable except where the Australian Consumer Law or section 12 requires — if the Service materially fails, tell us and we'll put it right or refund the affected period.

6.Your content and other people's details

In short: Your content is yours. But other people's details are theirs — only put someone into ConX with their consent, and honour their requests about it.This summary is for readability — the full text below it is what applies.

You own what you put into ConX and what you capture with it. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service. When you add personal information about someone else — a scanned lead, a listed colleague, a manual contact — you warrant that you have the rights and consents necessary to do so, and you agree to honour access, correction and deletion requests from those people for the records you control.

7.Leads and event capture

People who scan your code hand over their details for a reason — usually to hear from you about the thing you met about. Use captured leads for that purpose. Export and internal use is fine; selling lead lists or bulk-messaging unrelated offers is not.

8.Resumes

A resume shared with your company through an exchange is available for the share window shown (48 hours by default) and access closes automatically after it. Don't retain, forward or redistribute resume files beyond that window — evaluate, note what you need, and let the file expire.

9.AI features

ConX uses AI to draft company pages and profiles from public information, and (for Gold subscribers, on request) to draft cover letters from your resume. AI output can be wrong — check it before you rely on it, and edit cover letters before sending them; ConX never sends them for you. Companies can ask us to correct or remove an AI-generated profile about them.

10.Acceptable use

Don't: send spam through follow-up messaging (the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) applies to you as sender); scrape or bulk-extract data; impersonate people or companies; upload unlawful or malicious content; probe or break the Service's security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

11.Intellectual property

The Service, the ConX name, the X mark and "Connect and Exchange" are ours; your content and brand assets remain yours. Neither side gets the other's beyond what these terms grant.

12.Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

13.Liability

To the extent the law allows, ConX isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or A$100 if you're on a free plan). You indemnify us for claims arising from your breach of section 6 (other people's details) or section 10 (acceptable use).

14.Ending things

You can cancel any time (paid plans run to the end of the billed period). We can suspend or terminate for breach. When a company account ends, its team loses access; the company may request an export of its leads within 30 days, after which we may delete the workspace. Individuals keep their personal data until they delete their account.

15.General

These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. If a clause is unenforceable the rest stand. We may update these terms; material changes get notice in the app or by email, and continued use is acceptance. Questions: conx.connect@gmail.com.
